My weightloss journey... To all the haters out there... When I was extremely over weight you would bash now that I decide to go after my dreams and happiness you still bash me... What I have learned is that what you speak is a reflection of how you feel about yourself ... That's a you issue not me .. If your inspired by my journey thank you my purpose is to inspire and pay it forward! Love your self and that is something different for all of us! I never said I disliked my body what I disliked is that I was held back by my size to do things that I appreciate now especially quality time with my kids and having adventure. We can choose to be spectators which I was and that's not fun, or participate in the creation of our own life which I have! You should never loose weight for looks but for quality life, Vitality, longevity and health! Im 200 pounds and healthy! I am plus and proud and the goal is not a size zero but a healthy 16! #latina #inspired #happy #purpose #voice

#Repost @abc7vista with @repostapp. Plus-Size Model’s ‘Aha' Moment After reaching her heaviest weight of 410 pounds, 35-year-old Rosie Mercado has dropped a whopping 210 pounds over a 2-year period. For years, she had an unhealthy relationship with food, and it only escalated when her son was diagnosed with mild cerebral palsy followed by her marriage falling apart. @rosiemercado says she hit rock bottom…until she got an unsettling wake-up call. As she boarded a flight mid-2011, a flight attendant told her she needed to purchase a second seat. "That was an 'aha' moment for me – either I choose to continue living this lifestyle, or I make a wise decision and take responsibility for my life,” said Rosie. The mother of three began working out– and also cut out fast food. Since then, her modeling career has taken off. And the American Latina has been named the face of a major plus-size retailer for their holiday campaign! As her weight loss journey continues, her goal is to live a healthy life and enjoy being present and living in the moment. What an inspiration! Congrats to Rosie! Photo courtesy Oscar Picazo
