MAJOR THROWBACK Circa 2018. Which one is your favourite? 1,2,3,4,5 My love of creating headdresses began in 2018 with my Rococo style Heavenly Bodies inspired fuchsia rose creation, where I used original 18th century Wedgewood ceramic filigree on my face, which I painted gold, to create the baroque skull, kindly gifted to me from the archives of the @wedgwood factory. The headdress I made from scratch, repurposing roses gifted to me in a PR package, crystals and gold lamé leaves and feathers. A strong part of the Skulltress DNA, branding and style is embodying complete self expression through not only the makeup, but also costuming, which comes from my 12 year tenure working in opera. Here I learnt the value of collaboration and story telling through makeup and costume and the art of building creations using only the hands. The aim: ultimate creativity by producing a full scale Skulltress production in each look. ___________________________________ 1: Rococo Skulltress 2018 Makeup / headdress by me 2: Angels & Deamons 2019 Makeup / Headdress by me 3: Tribute to my grandmother’s passing 2018 Makeup /Headdress by Me 4: Skulltress Masterclass 2020 Makeup/ Wig/ headdress bought and customised 5: Orchid Dreams: Makeup, Wig dressed by me, supplied by @apwigs headdress customised #artistsoninstagram #artwork #skullmakeup #skulltress
